Hearing Aids
At Colorado Tinnitus & Hearing Center, we provide personalized prescriptive medical grade hearing aid solutions from leading manufacturers. As independent doctors of audiology, we select devices based on your unique needs, not sales commissions.
We offer comprehensive hearing evaluations and customize each fitting to your specific hearing profile, lifestyle requirements, and personal preferences.

What is a Hearing Aid?
A hearing aid is a small electronic device worn in or behind the ear that amplifies sounds to help people with hearing loss.
Unlike simple sound amplifiers, modern hearing aids are sophisticated digital devices that selectively amplify certain frequencies based on your specific hearing loss pattern. They filter background noise, enhance speech clarity, and can wirelessly connect to smartphones and other audio devices to improve your listening experience in various environments.
Hearing Aid Types
We offer a complete range of prescriptive medical grade hearing aid styles from premium manufacturers including Phonak, Oticon, ReSound, Signia, Starkey, and Widex.
Each style has unique benefits, and our audiologists will help determine which type best suits your hearing needs, lifestyle, manual dexterity, and cosmetic preferences.
Behind-the-Ear (BTE) hearing aids rest comfortably behind your ear with a tube connecting to an earmold or dome in your ear canal. These devices are powerful, versatile, and appropriate for mild to profound hearing loss.
Receiver-in-the-Canal (RIC) hearing aids place the speaker directly in your ear canal while the microphone and processor sit in a small case behind your ear. This design creates a more natural sound quality and is currently our most popular style.
In-the-Ear (ITE) hearing aids fill the outer portion of your ear with a custom-made shell containing all electronic components. These devices are suitable for mild to severe hearing loss and offer easier handling than smaller styles.
In-the-Canal (ITC) hearing aids are custom-made to fit partially in your ear canal, making them less visible than larger styles. They work well for mild to moderate hearing loss and balance good battery life with a smaller size.
Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC) hearing aids are custom-made to fit deeply in your ear canal, making them nearly invisible to others. These discreet devices are suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss and offer natural sound quality with reduced wind noise.
Invisible-in-Canal (IIC) hearing aids are the smallest available style, fitting so deeply in the ear canal that they're practically invisible. These ultra-discreet devices provide excellent sound quality for patients with healthy ear canals.
